( HomeWashington → Park )

Francis Scott Key was a lawyer who originally wrote the words to the American national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner, which were first published in 1814.  The Francis Scott Key park is located in Georgetown, and was built on the site of his home, which was demolished in 1947.  Close by is the Francis Scott Key bridge, which connects Georgetown with the Rosslyn district.

But you can walk down to other parts of the park if you wish

The park is near the Potomac - Rosslyn in the background
