( HomeWashington → Arlington )

Arlington House, also known as the Robert E Lee memorial, was once the home of General Robert E Lee.  The building of the house was completed between 1802 and 1804.  During the American Civil War, the grounds were chosen to be the site of Arlington National Cemetery.  Arlington House is accessible from the cemetery, though it is quite a climb from the cemetery entrance up to the house.
