The Tidal Basin is a partially man-made water feature adjacent to the Potomac River. The basin is considered to be part of West Potomac Park. The area of the basin is just over 100 acres, and the depth of the basin is around 10 feet. The walk around the edge of the basin is very pleasant, allowing one to take in the Roosevelt and Jefferson memorials along the way. |
