Outside Grand Union Station

Grand Union Station opened in 1908, and was intended to be the major entrance to Washington. The external décor of the station is very grand and impressive, and the station is one of the best known places in Washington DC. The station has over 30 million visitors per year, including those off on their travels by rail and also those who just come to do some shopping.
