Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace has been the official residence of members of the royal family in the UK since 1837. It has over 700 rooms, and in recent years has been opened for members of the public to visit. The royal standard flies when the Queen is in residence. The palace has about 50 acres of gardens, and lies at the end of The Mall, with Admiralty Arch at the far end by Trafalgar Square.
