Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is one of the famous landmarks of London, and is located close to the Tower of London. It was built in 1894, and is interesting in that it uses steam as the mechanism for raising the road when river traffic needs to pass under it. The bridge is raised and lowered about 500 times per year.
