Dupont State Forest

The Dupont State Forest covers around 10,000 acres and straddles the counties of Transylvania (which includes Brevard) and Henderson (which includes Hendersonville). There are various entries into the forest and it provides great opportunities for walking and hiking, plus the odd waterfall or two. The forest is usually well-populated in fine weather.
