Grandfather Mountain is located near Linville in North Carolina, and is about a two-hour drive from Brevard. The mountain is about 1,800 metres high and is part of the Blue Ridge mountain system. There are excellent facilities for visitors, lots of opportunities for walking and hiking, and also a small zoo where, among other things, you can see lots of bears! |

It's easy to get around, but some parts are inaccessible
You need to be slightly brave to cross this bridge!
And at the little zoo, you will see no shortage of bears!
