Abingdon

Abingdon is a market town located about 6 miles south of Oxford, and about 5 miles north of where I live in Didcot. Abingdon is a pretty town but tends (like most English towns) to suffer from very high levels of traffic through the centre. The River Thames runs through Abingdon and walking down by the river can be very pleasant. Abingdon was also home to an Abbey that was built in the seventh century. Not much remains of that now, though.
