The Doone valley is one of the more picturesque places on Exmoor, and a walk alongside the river on a summer’s day, followed by an afternoon cream tea at Cloud Farm, is something to enjoy and remember. The name derives from one of the great mythical persons of Exmoor, namely Lorna Doone. If you’re lucky then you will see one or two Exmoor ponies in the Doone Valley. You can see deer and other wildlife, too. |
