Hawes

Hawes is a small market town in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, with a population of about 1,200. It has a good range of shops, a pleasant high street, and pretty surrounding countryside. It is said to be the highest market town in England.

Hawes can look a little "bleak" from the outside

However, there is plenty of interest on Hawes high street ...

... though some of the other streets can be quite narrow

Lots of places to buy souvenirs, with prices to suit the rich tourist!

Sadly this doesn't go anywhere, as there is no track outside the station!
