Lake Windermere is the largest natural lake in England, and as such is an extremely popular tourist destination. The lake is about 10.5 miles long, and at its deepest is about 70 metres deep. There are two towns on the lake - Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside. There is ample opportunity to take a cruise on Lake Windermere from either town. |
