Leamington Spa is a large town in central Warwickshire, about 10 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. The town is famous for its spa baths (dating from Roman times) and it is also a "royal" town, following visits from Queen Victoria in the 1800's. I have fond memories of Leamington from my childhood, and also because it is where I passed my driving test some 20 years ago. |
