Lincoln Castle, though not (in my opinion) as immediately spectacular as the cathedral, is nevertheless packed with history. Originally built by William the Conqueror in the late 11th century, it is now home to one of the only four remaining originals of the Magna Carta. The 12th century castle walls afford great views of Lincoln and the cathedral. |
