Lyneham Long Barrow is located about 5 miles from Chipping Norton, on the A361 road to Burford. I would have to say that this particular barrow is probably one of the more inaccessible artefacts in the Cotswolds area, though you can get some good views if you're prepared to make the effort. |

There is a single marker stone at the head of the barrow
The barrow sits in a fenced-off field grazed by sheep
From behind, the structure of the barrow is more clear
Getting close-up views of the head stone is made harder by the fencing and hedges!
The barrow is something of a challenge to get close to, but worth the effort.
