The North Yorkshire Railway is an 18-mile stretch of railway that runs from Pickering to Grosmont.  The railway is based on historic steam and diesel engines, and also vintage railway coaches.  Perhaps the most famous locomotive on the railway is the old steam engine Sir Nigel Gresley.

One of the most famous engine - the Sir Nigel Gresley

Some engines aren't quite as distinguished - this was "Sybilla"

Old-fashioned carriages too

You can get very close to the engines

And even try out the footplate for yourself!
