Rothwell is a town in the south-eastern suburbs of Leeds, with a population of about 22,000. Rothwell has quite a substantial history, dating back to the Doomsday Book in the 11th century, and is currently undergoing a programme of refurbishment. Joseph Priestley (a scientist) is one famous person who has roots in Rothwell. |
