Santon Bridge is a small village in the west of the Lake District, located a few miles from Lake Wastwater. At the centre of Santon Bridge is the (excellent) Bridge Hotel, which is the venue in November each year for the "biggest liar" competition - a competition that attracts world-wide interest.
