This set of photos is of the "Shipston-on-Sea" theme weekend that my parents' town, Shipston-on-Stour, held on August 20-21, 2005. The reason for the theme is that Shipston, like all of England, was under the sea at one time and the event was funded by the UK National Lottery. You can find oyster fossils (Gryphaea) in the local fields in Shipston. |
