Stratford-upon-Avon is a Warwickshire town, about 10 miles north of Shipston-on-Stour, that is famous largely for one thing – it is the birth place of William Shakespeare.  For this reason, tourism is probably about the most important industry in Stratford, and over 2 million tourists visit annually.  The river Avon flows through Stratford and walking down by the river on a sunny day is one of the great joys in life!
