Uffington Castle

Uffington Castle is all that remains of an Iron Age Hill hill fort, and it is located at the top of White Horse Hill, just a few paces from the White Horse itself. As you will see from the photographs below, there is not much left of Uffington Castle, though it is a very atmospheric place in spite of that.

You get a fine view over the Lambourn Downs from the castle. Note the Ridgeway path to the left.
