Wells Next-the-Sea is a coastal town in north Norfolk that is famous for the quality of its whelks and port activity. (Actually, Wells is not "next the sea" any more, but instead sea craft travel through small rivers that reach the sea through silt beds). Sadly, on the day I visited, it was dull and rainy, and the town undoubtedly looks better in the summer. |
Appearances are deceptive - Wells is no longer "next the sea"
